In 1935, today’s food industry – diversified corporations, complex production processes and international brands – was just beginning to take form, with the marketing strategies that have propelled the growth of its greatest companies.

Among its target markets was the growing Jewish community, greatly expanded by the early 20th century’s influx of Eastern European immigrants. In 1977 – after seven years of’ intensive study in Israel – Rabbi Don Yoel Levy joined his father at OK Kosher Certification. Assuming its leadership a decade later, Rabbi Don Yoel Levy has achieved international renown as an authority on Kosher food. Under his direction the OK has utilized the revolutionary developments in information and communications technologies to establish the most advanced, reliable Kosher supervision available to the food industry.
