Quick Tip: how to manage Private label’s.
In recent years there has been a growing demand from customers to certify their customer’s Private Label brands. Here are some guidelines to help you achieve kosher status for your Private Label business:
Private label products are products that are produced by an OK certified company but are labeled with the Private Label customer’s brand name. If your customer wishes to have the OK symbol on their labels, a private label agreement must be executed between the private labeler and OK Kosher Certification. This agreement is necessary to protect both the certified manufacturer and the OK trademark.
After the private label agreement has been fully executed, the manufacturer may print the trademarked OK symbol on the private label customer’s labels. In addition, OK kosher certificates will be issued in the name of the private label customer. This service is provided for a nominal administration fee.
OK Kosher is proud to provide certification for private label companies such as Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Euro-Nat, Loblaw, B.J.’s Wholesale, Key Food, Costco, 7-Eleven, Albertsons, Safeway, Sam’s Club Fairway and many more. We wish you a happy and healthy 2015!
